Well I'm glad you guys are enjoying my blog (Mom, Kat and Shannon I'm especially enjoying your comments- strong calf muscules, oh mother). Unfortunately I don't know how much blogging I can do for the next little bit after this post. Today I'm heading off to Taipei to the hotel for my HESS training, hopefully they'll have a wireless internet connection, but we'll see. I' pretty excited for it though, today I'll start meeting fellow HESS teachers, and have a better idea of what my job is going to turn out to be.
But yesterday Wendy and Isaiah arrived, and Isaiah is really cute. I guess his b-day is in like 10 days, where he'll be turning one. It was nice finally putting a face to Wendy and really meeting her. After they arrived we went to visit one of Wendy's friends Jasmine (who is really nice), and then we decided to head on a little adventure to Fulong. It's on the East Coast on the water. There we headed to a beach there and went swimming. It's crazy how warm the water is here. It's like a luke warm bath. Wendy said that the water here is warmer here then in Thailand, which is pretty crazy. I have to say that yesterday was the first day that I've really noticed people staring at me. It prob didn't help that I'm currently pasty white, and I was wearing a bright blue nike swim suit (cerca 1998). But I did kind of feel like a foriegner.
Afterwards we went for dinner to 7/11. Yes I said 7/11. It's totally crazy how different the seveys are here. They have real food to eat, not like the nacho crap we have back home. So we all had our sushi and rice bowls and sat outside where they have tables for people to eat dinner. After that we came back home and I finally stayed up until 10pm. Yeah I know that sounds early, but this time change thing has really knocked me off my rocker. I woke-up today at 5:30am, so I'm hoping that tonight I'll feel fine and got o bed and wake-up at my normal times.
But anyhoo, here are my pics from yesterday (Jacky, Shawn, Wendy & Shawn). Keep commenting everyone, because it's really nice hearing either about your lives or the gossip from back home (Shannon).

Oh my GOD, that is such a crazy Taiwan sevey! Why the hell is there a large poodle standing there? And why is there a dog with a rainbow on his head, waving a star wand?
