I found a connection!!

Oh I'm soo happy, last night when I was watching scrubs on my computer I got an internet connection on my computer out of the blue. It was amazing!!! I got to check my email, but of course at that moment I had like no juice left on my computer and I had to move it over to the wall to recharge and just as quickly as I found the connection it was gone. But thankfully I found it again this morning, yes I should be heading to work right now but still i know it's there and I can check my email before I get my real internet connection. Oh the joys...the joys.

But here are some recent pictures of some of my little munchkins, my scooter (it's name is Kung Fu b/c my licenece plate is KFU), my little home, the view from my window, and some of the people I'm working with.

(It's now afternoon)

This morning was the first time I've driven to work (kindy) my myself and I made it on Kung Fu in one piece. Actually it was pretty fun. The only piss off is that I don't have my pretty helmet back from Amy yet, so I'm stuck with one of my branches "reject helmets". It's unfortunate. But this weekend David took me out on his scooter and I started driving on the street. Yeah the driving here is crazy. It's pretty much playing chicken constantly. David describes it as the drivers here looking into our foreign soul and seeing the fear, once they see that they know they can cut you off no problem. But today was the first time I made it home without getting lost, it's a little achievement.

Firstly, mother you weren't worrid about your lovely daughter when you hadn't heard from me in over a week....I'm hurt (nice little guilt trip). And father where art thou? I haven't seen a comment from you and Holly for a bit (neglect). And Shannon I'm sorry to hear that you are stuck at an all-girls school (I can't wait until I actually get a phone and can hear the stories). Di that's awesome that you have so many interviews, the first one of us to get a real job in the real world. Which one do you really want? The Art's Umbrealla one, or the PR one? Kat I'm sorry to hear that the donut is getting all stale. But you can still move here to Taiwan with me. I can share Kung Fu if you'd like. Like I said before he's fricking huge, the boat/scooter I swear. Christi I hope to hear of an amazing date soon from a non history guy who doesn't sit next to you in class (wink), but then I'm still single, no hot med students as of yet.

Anyhoo, enjoy my pics, and hopefully I'll be able to call you guys at like 6am your time very soon....no seriously it's 1pm my time and 4am your time.

Lindsay,

Those children are sooooo cute! I don't think they can be any cuter!

Yes donut is stale now but honestly I have very much moved on... I got really bored of myself always thinking 'donut donut donut' and I've really moved on to a new state of mind.

Still no jobs but there are some things brewing and I'll fill you in on that later...

Hey can you post a mailing address? Your birthday is around the corner and I have no idea how long it takes to mail things to Taiwan!

OHHH!!!! My mom came back from California bearing gifts!! She brought me the Angel perfume by Thierry Mueller that I have been asking for, and a beautiful silver link bracelet from Tiffany and Company that has a little emblem with my initials on it... its beauitful... it was thrilling to open my first blue Tiffany box!! Her friend also sent me a lovely gilt mirror thingy and a watch. I was very spoiled to say the least.

I also continue to go to the archives but I think I've decided that its not for me. You spend too much time in dusty basements and removing rusty staples that turned to powder (I've learned that staples are the devil to historical documents and spent a great deal of time removing them from TV Guides circa 1978, no joke).

Oh, and I must say... be very very careful on that scooter.

Okay, hope to talk to you on the phone soon!!

love, Kat

Hi!!

Oh my god, I love those kids. They all look so happy and cute!

Your scooter is great too. It doesn't matter that it is big - more scooter to love!

No hot date for me, unfortunately. Mr. Paris man didn't have enough time in Vancouver (has left already). He did send me a very sweet email though.

I had my big networking "wine and cheese" the other day. I thought it was going to go terribly, but it went well enough that one firm invited me out to a fancy dinner afterwards at Cin Cin. It was actually a lot of fun. I've just sent in a bunch of applications for summer 2007 law jobs... wish me luck.

Anyway, have a great week!

Hi Boo Boo....... glad to hear you so energized and involved. Is that pic of your bedroom?.. whole apartment? what?.
Your cute but beefy scooter looks like it could kick some butt out there on the street... Warrior Daughter!
My computer is misbehaving badly... I have to re-boot every ten minutes. I'm really looking forward to a real conversation, because typing just doesn't cut it with us older folks. All is well here in paradise, I have other stuff to tell you but it'll have to wait for a phone call.

LUV AND KISSES.....MUMMIE

Hellllllo, I'm sorry I didn't answer your msn message the other day... I turned on my computer right before driving Greg to his bus stop, and when I got back you were gone.

Also, an old "calling you at Scents of Time" joke is coming back as I read over your other comments.

So, your scooter looks about as big as your apartment, but it's all good. I've spent the last three days in my girls school, it's actually pretty good since the teachers are all under thirty, and most have been teaching for less than four years. The girls are fun, although they pay a lot more attention to Ryan and Christian (I feel like a loser when I remember hitting on student teachers at that age now). Unfortunately tomorrow is my last day there till November, so I'm going to forget all the names. Shit. Plus, I have to start doing school work again.

Well, I'm off to go deal with the huge breakout on my neck/upper back (damn you, Evra patch!). I hope you find another internet connection soon.
