My Random Taiwanese Address

Well I don't really have an english address, it's written in Chinese on my lease, so I have no idea how I can tell everyone what it is but I do have the address of my branch. Japie gets all his mail sent to him that way so I guess it will be fine if I do the same: Si Wei Rd., #50, Hsin Chu City, Taiwan, 300

(Rant time)
This having sparatic internet is really starting to frustrate me. All I want to do right now is have a normal msn conversation that lasts longer than 2 minutes because my connection suddenly fails, or be able to use my vonage that I've been paying for for the last month. That's one thing the branch has not been doing a very good job of providing. It's being handled my the head CT (Chinese Teacher) and she keeps on pushing me aside and telling me she'll do it tomorrow. I finally talked to my bosses about her being useless this week, and now she seems to be a bit more helpful. So hopefully I'll have it this week, if I don't I swear I'm going on strike.

But this weekend was fun. I asked a bunch of people from my kindy branch out to dinner and we went to this really nice Italian restaurant called Friendy. Seriously I have to say I miss chesse. It's one of the those staple foods in our western diet that I took forgranted and now I miss it alot. After dinner, Chelsea and I went out to a local bar/club and danced all night. It was fun. I have a fun picture of her on the stage shaking her thang. It's so funny what a small world it is here in Hsin Chu. I met a guy at the club last night whose from Richmond and another girl from Ladysmith. And Hsin Chu isn't a very big place either for Taiwanese standards. It was entertaining watching the Taiwanese dance on the dance floor. They don't really have any rhythem and 40 year old men are out there dancing up a storm with all of the young people. And it's not as if they're dirty old men, it's just a fun thing for them to do on a saturday night I guess. I have discovered though that the cute western guys here all have one pergoative, and that's to date a cute Taiwanese girl. So last night there was like 15 songle cute available girls at the club that the guys didn't even really bat an eye to. It's strange. My theory is that my med student was tired last night and couldn't make it out clubbing. Another night....another night.

But anyhoo, here are some more pics of my little house and kindy, I promise I'll take some more this week of my older kids.

PS- Oh Mom that Tandia book is really good, I'm going to be sad when I'm finished it. Oh and I need a wine topper, I forgot to bring mine so if anyone wants to send me one that would be super duper.

This time I get to go first. I guess it pays to be constantly checking your Blog. It has come part of my procrastination routine. I love hearing about your adventures. I looked up flights yesterday to come a visit you. I have soooo many travel plans and definately not enought money but we will see how it all works out.

Life in K-town keeps going. I cannot wait to be finished school and move back to Van for good. I definatley miss my girls...the last couple nights out it has been me and 8 guys.

Danced with my crush the other night at the bar...and who should come over and say hi. Adam!! Always nice to get busted by the ex when you are grinding (kind of) with some other guy. At least when you find your med student Mark won't jump out of the crowd to say hi.

Back to reading. Miss you

Hi Honey!

It's your Mother again........Grampa has been fussing because he got you a really nice, mushy card and had no address to send it to......so, now he will get your card off to you and be happy.
I'm sorry you are having computer problems, me too, but they'll get worked out I'm sure. I'd sure like to have a real conversation though.

Work has taken an interesting turn...... It's too involved for me to type, but I"ll tell you about it when we talk....soon.

Luv & Kisses.....Mummie
