Dragon Boat Festival

First off I'm offically coming home!!!! Everyone already knows this, but I felt the need to say this again as I'm really excited about coming home for a visit!!!! This is my itinerary so far: my plane leaves Taipei at 10:30 pm on Aug. 1st, I get to the LA airport at 8:30pm Aug.1 (the time change is finally on my side this time, I get that lost day back) then I wait in the damn airport for like 12 hours and I leave at 7:30am Aug 2 and get into Vancouver at 10:30 am Aug 2. I don't have my return flight booked yet, I was planning on getting one on the 25th of Aug, but my boss wants me to come a little sooner so maybe the 23rd. We'll see how that goes. These are my dates Aug 2-7 at my Dad's, 7-11 in Kelowna, 11-16 Moms and then the 16th to whenever in Vancouver. It was hard trying to decided when I would be where, but this is my game plan right now.

Now it's up to all of you to plan fun and exciting things that I can do with all of when for when I'm home. I've started a mental list of the things I want to see, and most importantly the things I want to eat. Also I'm planning on bringing some little presents home, so if you have any suggestions tell me now or else just deal with whatever tacky things I decide upon.

Here are some pictures of the past couple weeks. Dragon Boat Festival just happened a couple of weeks ago and I went with my kindy HRT Wing and her friend to Nanliou. It was pretty cool seeing the real thing here. I know we have it back home, but now I know what it symbolises and the stroy behind it all. To sum up a poet died, they threw his dead body in the water, and then people threw dumplings in the water so the fish wouldn't eat his body. There's your history lesson for the day.

Tomorrow is my kindy performance, which I'll write all about in the next week. It's a pretty big deal. But enjoy the pics.

Hellllllllo, yes I'll email you when I get a chance. Last week was crazy, and I've been in Kelowna since Friday so I haven't really been on the computer much.

How much longer are you in Taiwan? I sent you a postcard so hopefully you get it before you leave.
