Well the last couple of weeks have been very busy with me trying to find a job in Japan. The first 2 weeks were pretty slow, with not a lot of good postings out there. It's annoying, it seems as though most schools are really last minute and they want teachers for the next month or 2 but not for August/September. But in the past week things have started picking-up and I have 3 interviews schelduled for the next week, we'll see what comes of them. One is with a dance academy school, that is like a private cultural school that teaches dance and english. Obviousl
y I'm so out of the dance loop there is no way I could teach it, but to be around that all day and have professional dancers as my ESL students, too fun. We'll see what comes of that. The position begins in November, so I don't really know what I would do for 2 months, maybe bum with my parents and friends.....right you're all cool with that? The other schools are full-time kindergarten contracts and really that's what I want. A nice 9-5 day with little munchkins would be ideal. I'm putting it out there.A little drama has occured. My friend Japie got in a scooter accident this past week and now he can't teach and has to either have surgery on his arm or have it in a cast for 9 months, not fun. This is one of the reasons I can't live in Taiwan for 2 years, the drivers here are nuts.
But here are some pictures of my little kindergarten kids for Mother's Day. We ce
lebrated it on Wednesday this week, and all of their mommys came to sing songs and play games with them. It was very sweet. I tried taking pictures of my new little ones. The picture of the little girl and boy doing the peace signs are Michael and Runa. Runa is a little Japanese girl who is new to my class who cannot speak either English or Chinses. So neither Wing nor I can really communicate with her, it's getting easier but the first couple of weeks were interesting. Thank goodness we have a Japanese teacher here who comes once per week, so she was able to help translate for us.
Oh and I got new glasses. Woo, good times.

Sexy new glasses. I hope your friend is okay.
I am currently in PEI doing a bit of travelling in the East. I leave tomorrow though and head back to Ontario for a couple weeks b/f going to NYC. Which I am super excited about. Good luck w/ the interviews. Miss you lots.
